Omobowale Agboade is an entrepreneur with a strong passion to change the world around her. She founded the Kid Entrepreneurs initiative (an entrepreneurial development centre for kids and teens with the main vision of helping them think outside the box and also nurture their unconventional skills and talents that are generally being overlooked by schools.
She believes that introducing kids to the concept of entrepreneurship early in life will help transform them into responsible and independent members of the society thereby delivering them from the entitlement mentality that is prevalent in our society today.
The Kid entrepreneur initiative is the winner of the British council business acceleration award in 2018 and is now approved by the British council. Kid Entrepreneurs has wo. Several other awards and has been featured In both national and international news. The initiative is responsible for helping over 400 kids launch their own businesses as they continue to provide courses, events and products that promote entrepreneurship in kids.
Bowale is the author of “Naria Starts a Business” one of the leading entrepreneurship books for kids in Nigeria. The kid entrepreneur initiative is the host of Nigeria’s only Entrepreneurial TV show for kids. As part of her mission to encourage entrepreneurship in kids, the kid entrepreneur centre has a weekly column in the Guardian newspaper to showcase kids who are doing well in their diverse areas of enterprise.
The kid entrepreneur centre is currently in several schools across Lagos running their Business Adventure Programme as an after school club.
Bowale also spends her time volunteering in non-profit organisations and public schools across Lagos.
Bowale is happily married to Deji and they have 3 amazing kids.
