Dr. Patrick Ijewere, B.Sc. Chem, B.Pharm, MD, MBA

A product of St. Gregory’s College, Obalende, Lagos, his journey through tertiary academia began at age 15 at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from George Washington University, Washington D.C., followed by Bachelors in Pharmacy (honors) from Howard University, Washington D.C.
Medical College at Howard University (honors) with an MD degree, and Specialty training in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Professional exposure took him to Florida for 12 years, as an Internist, a Hospitalist, Emergency Room (ER) Physician, a Ringside Sports Physician, and Administrator.
He accomplished an Executive MBA at the University of South Florida, Tampa in 2003.
Upon return to Nigeria, he impacted healthcare as Medical Director of Salus Trust, an HMO. Currently, he serves as Medical Director of Carib Health Ltd, Lagos, and The Nutrition Hospital Ltd, Ikoyi.
As an Internal Medicine physician, his focus is, the “Prevention” and “Reversal” of chronic degenerative diseases, including, Diabetes, Hypertension, Arthritis, Auto-Immune disorders and Cancer. He featured on numerous radio and television interviews including on Classic-97.3fm, Smooth-98.1fm, Nigeria Info 99.3, Channels, TVC, etc.
Currently, Dr. Patrick Ijewere hosts a weekly radio program, “Wellness Half-hour,“ on Inspiration-92.3fm, Lagos, Sundays at 1pm.
Hobbies include dancing, reading, walking, tennis, travelling, and watching comedy. He LOVES MUSIC !!!! From 1998 to 2008, on weekends, he was DJ at Naija parties in Florida, as well as, radio DJ host of “Sound Safari,” a weekly program on WMNF-88.5fm Tampa, spinning African music, and music of the African Diaspora.
